Following the success of the 2024 Our House on Sycamore Street series, we're back for another season! Launching from Friday 1 August 2025, this series follows the same premise as the Sycamore Street series - inspired by the Madness song Our House, each series features a collection of homes on a single street, and the stories of their occupants.

In Season 1, the setting was the fictional village of Eden Cove on the southern English coast. For Season 2, we're heading north to the Scottish Highlands. Think Loch Ness, the Caledonian mountains and the Caledonian canal. Our House on Heather Wynd (pronounced like to wind around a mountain) releases from August 2025 until around the end of October (exact date depends on number of participants)

As with Season 1, this is a multi-genre series - so you can write whatever story takes your fancy. Think historical or contemporary fiction, romance, suspense, cozy mystery - even fantasy or sci-fi!!​

Our House on Heather Wynd - the details:
Each novella will be released on a weekly basis, on a Friday, starting Friday 1 August. The exact end date for the series will depend on how many authors join in.

Each novella should be between 30-50k words.

Authors to arrange own editing.

Covers for both ebook and paperback will be designed for you. Season 1 featured a collection of front doors; Season 2 will showcase the view from your window.

Cost of cover design, plus extra for prizes at full launch Facebook party, is $100, paid into Paypal account hello@annajensen.co.za.

Authors to arrange own book formatting, using either Vellum, Atticus or Word. You will be sent graphics to include as chapter headers/scene breaks, all of which have been tested to make sure they work across the different formatting platforms

Authors register their own ISBNs and upload books to their KDP account. You retain full copyright of your work.
